Provides support to loan department by interfacing between loan officers as well as other departments to assist in loan processing and servicing activities. This position is necessary to enhance the timely origination and proper maintenance of the loan portfolio, and to enhance the quality of customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides enthusiastic, professional and courteous service to internal and external customers.
Records and maintains follow-up on all missing documents.
Answers telephone calls and record messages, and credit file documentation.
Assists in the loan closing process, order appraisals, and assure necessary information is provided.
Creates loan documents within the loan operating system with the assistance of the Loan Officer.
Ensures that the highest standards of operational excellent are maintained.
Performs all transactions within the confines of all State and Federal laws and Company policies and procedures.
Learns, follows and maintains company-provided ongoing education concerning various compliance requirements.
A.Required Education: Minimum four years high school or equivalent; some college preferred.
B.Required Work Experience: Minimum of four years office experience required. Prefer commercial banking or lending, credit administration/loan processing. Basic background in accounting or related functions (deposit or loan teller) helpful.
C.Technology Skills: Basic computer knowledge and general office equipment knowledge required. Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

F.Additional Position Requirements:Processors Requiring NMLS Licensing
In addition to the above requirements, loan processors with duties consistent with prohibited activities without licensing/registration under the S.A.F.E Act, must complete the licensing/registration process before performing such prohibited activities. Licensing/registration and compliance requirements are set forth by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).
All loan processors who perform prohibited duties/functions must: Be registered as applicable under the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (S.A.F.E. Act).
Be subjected to thorough background checks, which include screening for financial responsibility, criminal records check and any disciplinary actions by regulatory or licensing agencies.
Receive ongoing training regarding mortgage loan origination consistent with the types of mortgage loans the loan processor is responsible for.
