Responsible for the delivery of Trust Services as a part of the Wealth Management line of business. Responsible for helping to develop and maintain internal and external image of the WMS department while managing a team that meets the client’s individual needs and growing the departments profitability base by establishing new and stronger client relationships. Responsible for the entire Trust Department operation focused on new and existing client relationship building, profitability, personnel management and compliance.
Directs and manages the Trust Department for successful operation and achievement of budgeted financial performance. Responsible for all trust activities including growth, staff selection, training, management and profitability.
Participates in annual budget process.
Responsible for successful growth of Trust Department line of business through new business development, sales and service management, administrative oversight, and client relationship management.
Assists with financial reporting for Trust Services.
Allocates trust office assets and resources to enhance profitability. Develops and maintains a profitable department by ensuring efficient, quality account administration.
Helps to direct and manage departmental goals and strategies. Reviews departmental services and makes modifications as needed.
Reviews administrative activities in regard to job assignments, staff evaluations, compensation and staffing requirements.
Minimizes bank’s liability exposure by insuring regulatory compliant activities within the department and complying with established policies and procedures and enforcing controls, ensuring that staff and associates comply.
Trains and supervises Trust staff in undertaking more complex account assignments. Continuously evaluates and assigns accounts to appropriate managers.
Conduct annual, mid-year, and periodic performance reviews. Prepare goal setting worksheets for direct reports.
Actively involved in the community developing new account relationships through community and professional visibility.
This job requires that the associate gain a working knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements and how they will affect their work. The associate will comply with all requirements of the BSA and cooperate with the designated BSA Officer in assuring compliance.

Education: Knowledge of banking administration and banking program management as would normally be acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Finance or Business Administration or equivalent discipline.
Skills: Outstanding written, social and verbal communication skills to collaborate with internal and external clients.
Prior Experience: Approximately seven to ten years of progressively more responsible experience to gain full understanding of the various aspects of financial management including bank regulation.
Problem Solving: Job requires a high level of problem solving due to the complexity of the situations encountered.
Internal/External Contacts: Internal/External contacts are necessary to effectively negotiate or persuade others on issues which are highly controversial and sensitive.
Independent Judgement: Work requires establishing goals and policies for area(s) of responsibility subject to senior management review. There is broad decision-making authority and work is reviewed based on progress and goals achieved.
Client/Customer Contacts: Promotes public image of the bank externally by conduct marked by exemplary behavior, integrity and a high regard for the community.
Physical Requirements: Ability to negotiate various physical challenges presented in the administration of a trust or estate, including some lightweight lifting.
Responsibility for the Work of Others: Primarily responsible for managing a number of large and complex work groups. Regularly involved in developing and executing TFB's goals, strategies and plans.
Certification/Registration/Licensure: Completion of trust training, including thorough knowledge of tax, probate and fiduciary laws and practices.
