The 105/125 Plan Coordinator provides administrative and technical support to administer the Section 105 and 125 plans.
Conduct the day to day functions necessary to administer the plans. To include but not limited to: data entry for claim reimbursement, change of status requests, process corrected claims, scanning and indexing claims and other documents.
Alternate completing the weekly claims process with co-worker and communicate any issues with claims or problems in the software immediately to the IT Department, co-worker and supervisor. Responsible for researching and resolving system errors.
Research claim inquiries and respond to phone calls and emails from participating employees and employers regarding claim issues. Document notes in the group system.
Oversee the workflow for the year end process as designated from start to finish.
Be familiar with, understand, and customize the plan documents used to administer the plans. Answer questions and educate plan administrators about their plans.
Provide support to internal marketing staff in preparation of bank plan proposals, new and renewal bank kits, employee meeting pages, gain/loss reports as necessary.
Help with additional projects: audits, testing, online enrollment, year end issues, redesigning or creating new forms, brochures, etc.
On an annual basis, update 105/125 procedure and administrator manuals with changes.
Write the 105/125 plan bulletins sent to employers and quarterly employee newsletter.
Facilitate the non-discrimination testing for the plans.
Facilitate the short term disability claims process and communicate with employers and The Standard on claim issues.
Update The Standard spreadsheet with new and current employers with changes.
Required Education: High School Diploma
Required Work Experience: Two to five years experience in a Section 125 and/or Section 105 Health Reimbursement Account administrative environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Continue education as needed for the administrative process.
Technology Skills: Computer skills, proficient in Excel, Word, imaging software, navigating web-portals and data management systems
Required Skills or traits for the position: Good communication and people skills. Demonstrates excellent attention to detail, good time management skills, analytical and good decision making skills. Solid problem resolution skills.
