Provide relationship management to existing customer base. Develop additional business through prospecting new clients and cross-selling additional products to existing customer base.
Calls on existing customers to develop new business opportunities.
Originates new and renewed commercial loans.
Reviews and analyzes credit requests to conform to underwriting guidelines.
Structures standard and non-standard credit request and seeks approval for exceptions to credit policy.
Prepares and closes loans in accordance with regulations and documentation guidelines.
Manages loans within established loan portfolio to retain high loan quality level and compliance with all laws and regulations relating to the lending function and internal loan policy.
Manages problem loans to maximize recovery to the Bank.
Maintains credit files with current financial information and calling effort reports.
Coaches, counsels, and provides general supervision and guidance to loan staff.
Creates an environment where staff is motivated to perform at their best.
Promotes bank products and services by identifying and communicating opportunities to customers.
Assists other employees/departments/branches to promote teamwork and good communication.
Promotes a positive bank image through community involvement.
Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business, agriculture, finance, or related field.
A minimum of 3 years of previous commercial or agricultural lending experience.
Must be willing to locate to the immediate Garner area.
Agriculture background preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to effectively communicate with prospective and current clients and other professionals (verbal and written)
Demonstrated time management skills, particularly establishing and executing a plan of action.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Organizational skills that facilitate working under pressure and performing several tasks simultaneously in an accurate manner.
Progressive, positive work history.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
